“I have always wanted to be an elite athlete. I worked hard to be an elite athlete in some sport. What I found out was that I was an average athlete..... above average in a few sports. In trying to find “my sport” to excel at, I trained and competed in numerous sports I had an interest in; football, rugby, baseball, volleyball, cycling, cross-country skiing, auto racing, and motorcycle racing. Because I had that drive to be an elite athlete, I worked harder.
I read up on techniques and advanced training procedures. I digested what the greatest coaches in that sport had to say and teach. I consumed any information on that sport I could find. I broke down the technique and studied it intently.
Now that I am in my 50s, the chance of me standing on the top step of a podium again (unless in Master’s categories) is coming to a close. (Dr. Boll did visit the podium in Sept 2016 with a "Double podium" in a Sea Kayak Marathon race, winning the 18-49 age group and finishing second overall) I want to take my background of my professional education, my love for sports and competition, and the information I gained and continue to gain in athletic training and rehabilitation to train athletes of all ages, so they can have that chance to be elite athletes and stand on the top of the podium. I have put in my "10,000 hours" years ago and continue to study intently the latest research in functional training to provide my athletes the best possible advanced training results with the lowest possible chance of injury to give them that edge over their competition.”
